How to get to Port Hunter 16ft Sailing Skiff Club

HOW TO FIND US
If you can find signs to Stockton, excellent, otherwise:

If you are coming from North down the Pacific Highway:

Follow the signs to Newcastle until you get to Heatherbrae (Raymond Terrace) and then turn left at the roundabout into Masonite Road. Follow until end and turn left. Follow until roundabout and turn right. Follow until you are just about to go up Stockton Bridge and turn left. Keep going right into Stockton. If you find yourself crossing the Hunter River at Hexham just turn left and follow the New England Highway directions.

If you are coming from North or West down the New England Highway:

Follow the signs to Newcastle until you get through Sandgate (past the cemetary) and up the hill. Turn left at the traffic lights into Industrial Drive, through 2 more sets of traffic lights and then turn left into Tourle Street, across a bridge onto Kooragang Island. Keep going until you reach a roundabout, turn left and up over Stockton Bridge. Turn right at the bottom of the bridge. Keep going right into Stockton.

If you are coming from South up the F3 from Sydney:

It is easier (but a few km longer) to follow the signs to "North Coast via Pacific Hwy" until you get onto the New England Highway above Hexham, then use the New England Highway directions above.
If you are adventurous you can try to follow this: Turn off the F3 at the Newcastle Turnoff (just after the Cardiff turnoff), go straight through 4 roundabouts (there will probably be more by the time you read this). Through a couple of sets of traffic lights and at the top of a hill there is a biggish roundabout - turn right (follow sign to Newcastle). Through a small roundabout, through a set of lights then turn left at the very large roundabout and proceed along to a small roundabout - turn right. Keep going over the rail bridge and past the cemetary. Turn right at the end. Go up the hill and turn left at the traffic lights into Industrial Drive, through 2 more sets of traffic lights and then turn left into Tourle Street, across a bridge onto Kooragang Island. Keep going until you reach a roundabout, turn left and up over Stockton Bridge. Turn right at the bottom of the bridge. Keep going right into Stockton.

If you are coming from South up the east side Lake Macquarie:

Difficult to explain! But go through Belmont and then use the Charlestown Bypass at Bennetts Green. Keep going and try to find any signs to Stockton, Williamtown (Airport) or Nelson Bay and follow them. If you can get onto Kooragang Island, keep going and turn right into Stockton at the bottom of Stockton Bridge.

Once you get to Stockton follow the road along the river (Fullerton Street) until you get to King Street and turn right. We are at the South-Western corner of Stockton.

You can get a birds-eye view from Google Maps.
